Welcome to Tom Foley Photography, Amateur Truck Photography based in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.
My love of trucks goes back to my early childhood, I have some amazing memories riding around North Yorkshire in my Dads Volvo FL10 Tipper Truck, which he drove for Longthornes Of Hebden (Now Longthorne Bros). As i grew older i also went to work for Longthornes Unloading and Loading Livestock Trucks and all the other jobs associated with it.
Here i got the chance to travel along with Jonathan all over England, Scotland and Wales in my opinion it was the best upbringing in the world i saw some amazing places most people wouldn't even know existed and met some brilliant people along the way, my only regret is that at this stage i didn't carry a camera.
My next step was to move to Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire and this was were my inspiration for Truck Photography started, so away i went a bought a point and shoot digital camera to start with all i really took photos of was Stevens of Wick and Whitelink Seafoods of Fraserburgh, two of my favourite fleets as they mostly ran Scania V8's, but gradually i started taking photos of other trucks i would see travelling to and from work or out for an evening walk with my family. The next step was getting photos published in Truck & Drivers Picture Post or Transport News's Truck Scene Scotland, that was when i caught the photography bug and now i'm hooked.
So here we are today, i decided for me the next step was a website, i want to share the passion i have for Photography and Trucks with everyone and one day, follow in the footsteps of people like Tom Cunningham who to me really is the ultimate when it comes to truck photography.
Finally i cant thank the Drivers of these trucks enough for actually letting me take the photos, and helping me when possible to get the photo i want, without you guys none of this would be possible. If you have any queries at all please don't hesitate to contact me using the contact form below or the links to my E-Mail and Social Media Accounts.
Thank You Hope You Enjoy!
Tom Foley
